Children's Room Accents
Decorating children's rooms is a lot of fun for parents. Decorating the nursery for baby is just the beginning. Then we move on to replacing the crib with a bed and all the paraphernalia that goes along with a "real" bed.
For me, the most fun was picking room accents. This is where I could bring a touch of whimsy into my children's lives, add a touch of fun and get as creative as I liked with their space. The room accents are what set the room off as unique and especially lovely. If I had boys, I would have enjoyed decorating just as much, adding a fun sports or other themed area rug, lamp and wall hooks to make the room a fun and comfortable place to hang out.
You can pull your child's room together with a theme and stay in one design or mix and match like colors and/or themed pieces.
Each page linked below will take you to a page of great choices for your child's room. Choose a very cool or beautiful child's area rug, pick a lamp that is both functional and fun, pick a clock that your child will be especially happy to learn to tell time from and generally, have a good time decorating your child's room. Pretty soon your child will be a teenager and then all parental decorating is reduced to trying to keep their junk off the floors, chairs and beds. :-)
