Welcome all Newcomers!
Oh, we had a fun and happy Easter! The Easter bunny went all out, as usual. What a guy! How did all of you fare? Any memorable moments to share with the rest of our readers?
We had the pleasure of my cousin and his wife visiting from Italy with their two children who happen to be the same age as mine. They had a blast together. I love family gatherings, especially ones that involve kids. There's always laughter and kids really know how to have a good time, ya know? No work woes, no pressure ... just heathanistic good times! LOL!
Parents, April 27th is "Bring Your Daughters to Work" day! The one day of the year you can get away with it and spend some serious quality time with your daughters. Seeing you at work, realizing exactly what you do every day when you're not playing Mom, is a great experience for our daughters. If your boss objects, he/she is a creep! Either live with it or move on ... ;-) I think we should have a day to bring our sons to work, too.
I really do love hearing from you and would especially like to receive feedback about this newsletter. Any comments, suggestions or links to share with fellow readers are always welcome so feel free to drop me an email once in a while! :-)
OK, here's the scoop:

Parenting & Family Link(s) of theWeek:
There are many parenting sites online. Mine is one of them! ;-) But
MAIN STREET MOM really impressed me! This site has great content. From
articles on how to rev up your relationship with hubby to a super
recipe corner. You'll find garden tips, games, health and homemaking
tips. This site has a "spiritual growth" section with obvious Christian
overtones. If that is your belief, great! If not, don't go there! LOL!
I know you'll find so many terrific ideas and articles here, dear
readers. Enjoy!

Food & Cooking Site of the Week
Aunt Lynnie's site is really cool. She has plenty of yummy-sounding recipes to keep you busy and cooking for a year. You will also find a very interesting and un-intimidating "Egyptian Cooking" page with mouth watering recipes that actually sound like something the family might eat! If you're looking for tasty, unusual fare, I think you'll be safe giving these Egyptian recipes a try.
Aunt Lynnie has created a page reminding us of the basic food groups and the amount of servings of each we need to stay healthy and feeling alert! Yeah ... like I can get it together to make sure my kids eat 4 servings of fruit & veggies a day? Can you?! LOL! Well, some of us might ... ;-) This page is pretty enough to print out and stick on the fridge if you're so inspired!
Be sure to stop by Aunt Lynnie's Cooking Remedy's page and her cooking substitutions page. Lots of very nice touches here. Another thing I love about this site is the beautiful graphics and design. Well done Aunt Lynnie! Thanks for sharing. :-)
Bon Apetit!

Kid's Site of the Week:
Kids will love Arty, the part time astronaut. They can join him on a visually stimulating cruise through the planets with his friend, the alien. There are play activities on this site, all with the underlying theme of our solar system and planets. Great way for the kids to learn about outer space as we know it. This site does have a CD for sale and some of the features listed need to be accessed through their software which must be purchased but there are other activities the kids can enjoy without said CD. Hey, if they love it, you could be a hero and buy the CD for them! LOL!

Tip or Trick of the Week:
"Peanut Butter Gets the Stickies Out!"
Have you ever sent a piece of your child's clothing through the washer and dryer with a sticker on it? Oh I have! Grrrrr ... I thought it was the kiss of death but one of our readers has a solution:
"Spread some peanut butter on it and rub into the stuck on sticker. Put it back in the washer and it comes out clean."
Thanks for that great tip, Sal!

Weekly Time Waster:
(Because life is supposed to be fun!)
At Virtual Drawing, you can draw to your heart's content. Pick the
colors and line types then go to town, creating your very own
masterpiece! After you've wasted some time making your virtual drawing,
you could make it all worth something more by sending your art as an
e-card to an online buddy. Very cool little program and lots of fun!
Remember to feed the kids first ...

Featured Home Page of the Week:
Oh goodness!!! The cutest .wav file on the 'net is featured on this darling send-along page, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Let the kids hear it, too. My girls adore this song.
Consider this a greeting from me to all of you, dear readers! :-)
